Joe and Barbara, who would've guessed (US)

CBS radio has reported that Barbara Boxer is going to support Joe Liberman formally for his new Senate term. Obviously many are "shocked and awed" by this. He was my Senator when I lived in CT for over 4 years.

Will this help or hurt Liberman is the question. CT is very liberal and are fed up with Liberman so they might not vote for him anyway. Barbara Boxer may alienate his conservative supporters.

As for what this will mean for Boxer, who knows.

Rob,

Unlike Feinstein, Boxer isn't all that well thought of in her home state, so it is hard to know how she will go over in Connecticut.

Jamie, I'm late on this, but Californians are extremely supportive of Barbara Boxer. You are absolutely wrong. Boxer has accomplished a lot for California. It's Feinstein who has a mixed record: she's been extremely proactive for the environment and women's rights, but there are judicial issues to which many Californians take exception.

Since this post is two years old, maybe you've both seen the positive changes she's enacted for her constituents.

You couldn't be more wrong.
