Israel and its self hating residents.

The Right wing an Israel is a curious bunch. They live in Israel but by many standards have a backwards way of thinking. They share the political beliefs of the rightwing here only they go further. Many believe the land belongs to them becuase G-d said so. A recent article in the conservative newspaper Auretz Sheva had a page written explaining how letting women in was evil too. (It says that while they want to have a strong IDF, "We are not ignoring problems such as the army's offensive integration of men and women" Auretz Sheva)

The two of their most famous exploits are the killing of Rabin and the recent killing of civilians in Palastine when they were to be evacuated from disputed territories.

Now, according to JersualemOnline.com there "is a pamplet calling on the settlers (right wing citizens of disputed territories) to attack the IDF.

Hi Rob:

It's interesting to observe that every society is NOT a monolithic. Most people in the US probably don't get it that there are "liberal" and "conservative" points of view about Israel's politics. Unfortunately, most Americans are rather ignorant of other societies and other cultures. Do I really have to mention the US neo-cons?

Anyway, welcome to the CL links, at least on my site. I'm pretty sure Craig and Jamie and whomever else will upgrade their sites, too.

Hello Rob, I have linked to you as well. I intend to check in regularly too.

I know that at times it can seem as if you don't have enough visitors to justify your time to write posts, we all go through that. Just remember that you will always have more readers than you will have commenters.

Hey, we can always send Fritz over, for a little visit!

I try to keep up on politics in Israel. US media is not too helpful at times. A couple of years ago someone suggested this site to me. It is called the Debkafile, you are are probably already familiar with them, but just in case. They look to be a little like Fox, but they sometimes have some interesting political buzz.
